Curriculum Vitae of the key person

Dr Eriks Palcevskis is a Senior Researcher in the Riga Technical University, Institute of Inorganic Chemistry, Latvia, RTUIIC. He is an expert in the field of chemical synthesis of fine ceramic powders,  characterisation of surface properties of nanosized powders, preparation of concentrated suspensions from nanosized powders, granulation of nanosized powders by the spray-drying technique, as well as in the field of synthesis and sintering of oxide and non-oxide ceramic materials Preparation of nanosized powders by the plasma technique, development of granulated nanocomposites processing, pressing, sintering and determination of sintered bodies characteristics. He also works in the  biomaterials technology where he is a coordinator of the EUREKA 3033! BIONANOCOMPOSIT project.

- Zetamaster of Malvern Instruments (Ltd.) for microelectrophoresis and photon correlation spectroscopy;
- ultrasonic equipment.
- furnaces for ceramics sintering in vacuum and gaseous medium (until 2000 oC), in air (until 1600 oC)
